Welcome to the development journey of Warehouse Runner! Today marks the beginning of a 9-month development timeline to bring this game from concept to reality.

The vision for Warehouse Runner came from thinking about the unseen world of massive warehouses where workers fulfill our online orders. I wanted to create a game that captures both the claustrophobic intensity of these environments and the constant pressure to optimize and move faster.

Over the coming weeks, I'll be building the core mechanics: a first-person controller that navigates narrow aisles, a phone interface that provides crucial information (but stops you from moving while you use it), and a system for finding and collecting items from densely packed shelves.

I'm developing this game in Godot, with a focus on creating a tight, arcade-style experience that's both challenging and satisfying. Follow along as I post weekly updates on progress, challenges, and discoveries!
